Padro Rare Points (part 1)

So this is the basic Rare Points guide.

No worries if this might seem confusing, cause I will try and update all (my) Import Designs to inform the rarity of that particular horse.

so how does this work?

first we take a look at the base coat of the horse. 

* all bay, chestnut and black horses get 1 point

* if the horse has a dilution gene (nCr) - +2 points

* duns (nD, Dd) - +3

* roans (nR, Rr) - +3

* Agouti Specials (At-, A+-) - +4

* silver or flaxen (nf, ff, nZ, Zz) +2 (this includes carriers of the genes)

* pangare and sooty (nP, PP, nSty, StySty) +4 

* Champagnes (nCh, ChCh) +5

* grey, double cream and dominant white (nG, Gg, CrCr, nW) +6

* common patterns: tobiano, sabino and overo - +2

* uncommon patterns: appaloosa (all types), solid colors (no paint markings at all) and splash - +3

* rare patterns: rabicano - +4

(note: if you're horse has tovero, or pintaloosa, it means it has a two different paint genes, tovero: overo and tobiano, so 2+2=4 rare points)

for example, a dunalino overo would be: ee/aa/nCr/nD/nO

ee/aa is chestnut base, +1

nCr is dilution, +2

nD is a dun, +3

nO is an overo, +2

total: 8

another example: pangare silver dunskin sabino overo Ee/Aa/nCr/nP/nZ/nD/nSb/nO

Ee/Aa is bay base, +1

nCr is dilution, +2

nP is pangare, +4

nZ is silver, +2

nD is dun, +3

nSb is sabino, +2

nO is overo, +2

total: 16

last example: bay dun Ee/Aa/nD

Ee/Aa is bay base, +1

nD is dun, +3

horse is of solid color, +3

total: 7

so when is the horse categorized as common, rare or very rare?

*common: rare points less than 16

*rare: rare points 16-30

*very rare: rare points above 30
